If you wish to leave a tournament, highlight the tournament and click Leave Tourney button.
Below is a brief explanation of the various types of tournaments available
online.
Bounty Tournaments
Occasionally, we will have what we call "Bounty" tournaments. These will be Texas Hold Em tourneys which the Pit Bosses will enter in their PB name and play. We may have anywhere from 4-10 pit bosses in each tourney.
If you eliminate a pit boss, you will be awarded a special prize (bounty). This can be either cash, VIP points or suite points. You will receive a prize for every pit boss you eliminate. In the case of a hand where several players split the pot, the player with the highest hand will win the bounty.
These tournaments are limited in the amount of players who can enter them.
Each tournament will be passworded, with the password announced prior to the
tourney start. Once the tourney is full, no one else will be allowed in
it.
Belt Tournaments
A Belt Tourney is an invitation-only tourney for those players who have been ranked first in the eligible slot or in the top five in tables/poker, since the last belt tourney.
1, 3, 6, 12 and 24 hour Tournaments
The tournaments are open for the designated length of time. You may enter them at any time while the tournament says "In Progress". The typical round is for 10-12 minutes. You play your round, and when the tournament ends, the winners are declared.
You may only enter these tournaments once. When you click to enter it, you must go immediately to the tournament by clicking the Go Now button. If you do not, then you forfeit your entry fee.
Please note on the information screen for these tournament when there is insufficient time to complete a round. It will say so in Red. If you enter a tournament with insufficient time to complete a round, NO refund will be given.
King of the Hill Reset (KOHr)
In this type of tournament, the rounds are generally either 3 or 5 minutes long. After the first round, the top 50% of of scores move to round 2, after round 2 the top 50% of scores move to round 3, and so on until one player remains.
A KOHr means the score is reset to zero after each round.
King of the Hill Cumulative (KOHc)
A KOHc means the score is carried forward to the next round.
Winning Spin
In this type of tournament, the winner is determined by the player with the
highest number of winnings spins during the tourney. Score does not matter.
Average Credit Guild Tourney
In this type of tournament, the total score of all of your guild players is
added up and divided by the number of players. The winner is the guild with the
highest average score.
Average Winning Spin Guild Tourney
In this type of tournament, the total winning spins of all of your guild
players is added up and divided by the number of players. The winner is the
guild with the highest average winning spin total.
Texas Hold Em Guild Tourneys
The winner of a Guild Texas Hold Em is not the last player left at the table, it is average finish. It doesn't matter how many chips you have or if you finish first. It is where every team member places.
Let say you have all team members finish in the top ten your avg is 5th. Now lets say that all your member finish in the top ten but one and he/she finishes in 20th your avg will fall. if you finish in 1,2,3,4,6,7,8,9,10,20 your avg will be 7th . It is all in where your team finishes not how much monies you have or how many are left.
Here is another example 20 players 10 each.
Your guild finishes 1,2,6,10,13,14,17,18,19,20 = 120 points avg finish is 120 divided by 10 (your players) gives you an average finish of 12th
Our guild finishes 3,4,5,7,8,9,11,12,15,16 = 90 points avg finish is 9th
Our guild would win we have a 9th place finish over your 12th place.
Whichever guild finishes with higher standing will win the game, so you must get all guild members to finish as high as they can. The higher the finish the higher your avg will be, but it is a team effort not an individual effort. You must support your team and work with them and not take them out.
Tournament Refund Policy
At Phantom EFX we are aware that there are times when a player will lose
connection during, or before a tournament that they entered, has begun.
However, to be fair to everyone, including those who successfully complete a
tournament, we must have standard policies for issuing refunds for entry fees.
During those rare times that our server may crash, we will cancel any regular
slot tournament in progress, which will automaticly refund everyone's entry fee.
For the tournaments that are Phantom EFX sponsored (not guild) and are hourly
tourneys, we will refund anyone in the process of playing the tournament when we
crash. Hourly tournaments will not be cancelled because of the number of players
already having completed it.
We will not refund individual requests for entry fees by a player who:
-Lost connection before,
-Lost connection during,
-Missed the timer to Go Now,
-Did not get the Go Now,
We have no way of determining why you lost connection, if you accidentally
forfeited, if you were out of the room and missed the pop up, or simply were
losing and decided to quit.
Poker tournaments and table game tournaments will not be cancelled at all. When
booted or we crash, you have 10 minutes to return to a poker tournament, and
your hand continues to be played in table tourneys, allowing you to log back in
and continue.
We hope that having a standard policy of handling these issues, will make it
fairer for everyone who plays. Extreme circumstances will be handled on an
individual basis.
Guild Tournaments
A standard guild vs guild slot tournament will be cancelled if it is in progress
when we crash.
Intra-guild slot tourneys will also be cancelled if in progress when we crash,
and ONLY if requested.
Hourly guild tournaments will not be cancelled during a crash, and individual
players will not be refunded for their entry fees if they are in the process of
playing one when we crash, or if they lose connection.
Requests by guild leaders to cancel a tournament which has not begun yet must be
approved by an officer from both guilds.
Hourly Guild tournaments will not be cancelled if players have already played in
it.
GUILD Tournaments are considered "Play At Your Own Risk".
