When did you become a Pit Boss and what was the driving force behind your decision to become one?

Around November 2005
The driving force behind becoming a pitboss for me was to be able to help people especially new ones, like I was helped when I joined the game on launch day and was  totally & completely lost. Had to ask my kids what things meant ex: ROFL….LOL I was such a online newbie!!

Can you tell us what has been the most rewarding experience of this position? The most frustrating?

The players are the most rewarding part of this position. They are so appreciative of the help that you’ve given them, it makes it all worthwhile. I love the fun & interaction in the lobby, and the respect that most players show by halting the joking around when there’s someone asking for help in the lobby.  Most frustrating things are not being able to help someone with issues they are having.   Missing a question and the player taking it as me ignoring them.

What part of the Country are you from?

I’m from Michigan…about 20 miles outside of Detroit

Do you have a favorite game in the Casino? What is it (or they)?

That would be Indian Spirit, I loved that game since it came out a few years ago. Voodoo & Tarot run a close tie.

What has been the craziest scenario you have seen in the Casino (that you can tell us about)?

My 2nd day of working alone after training is the craziest I’ve ever seen. Will had just started doing “surprise tourneys” and did Blue Ribbon and Gods of Olympus (which very few people had at that time) almost back to back. Those tourneys were SO much fun and just watching how excited everyone was to be joining was great!! Then the pm’s started flying in
asking… am I in…whats the password etc. When I signed off after that shift I realized that I could handle the crazy side of this job. Many of us have hoped to have “surprise tourneys” again, think its getting to see a slot that you can’t get your hot little hands on yet that adds to the excitement!

How often have you forgotten the /g or /r ? Fess up!

I rarely forget the /g or /r. The question for me to fess up to is how many times I’ve used /g when it should have been /r and vice versa!! The biggest fess up here would be that as a pitboss I know from experience NOT to use /r to reply, to use /tell instead but still do it while working and end up sending the wrong answer to a person who has pmed while I was
answering someone else.

Phantom has obviously become a part of your life, would you say that you agree that the "People Factor" is half the attraction of the Casino Experience?

To me the “People Factor” is the entire draw of the Online Casino. Linda is a great boss, always helping not only the players but the pit bosses too. She goes above & beyond trying to help everyone all the time. The pit bosses, players that have become close friends, those are priceless to me. If the game was playable offline w/ quests, bot tourneys,
leveling etc. it wouldn’t have the draw for me that the Online Casino does. There are so many fantastic people from every corner of the world and so many people always chatting that it keeps everything fresh and exciting. I was here on day one when the Online Casino launched…and will be here till the day they pull the plug!!

Personally I think that all the PB's have the patience of a Saint, what would you say is your strongest virtue?

Caring is probably my strongest virtue.
