When did you become a Pit Boss and what was the driving force behind your decision to become one?

I started orientation for Pit bossing the last week of August 2006. I love the game and had been playing for almost a year, I loved helping new players and figured it would be fun to be able to help others enjoy the game as much as I do. I started watching the Pit bosses and much to my surprise, many questions that were being asked, I knew the answers to... so I filled out an application and was accepted :-)

What has been the most rewarding experience of this position?

First, In my real job, I'm a Registered Nurse and work in a very busy Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. I work with fragile premature and sick, full term infants. Dealing with parents who are stressed over their extremely sick infants is rewarding but very stressful. I thought it would be a great idea to work in a fun environment where people were relaxed and having fun for a change of pace. People are funny ( meant in a nice way) They have a wonderful sense of humor and say the funniest things... I often sit and laugh out loud at the computer over stuff being said in the lobby. Laughter IS the best medicine...
Second, I have never worked with a more wonderful group of people. The caring and respect I see is truly unique in a work environment and is very, very special. From Linda and her tireless efforts down to the team spirit of all my fellow PB's who help cover the game 24/7. We are all dedicated and strive to provide online game support unmatched anywhere. I thank Linda for allowing me the opportunity to join this outstanding group of people.

What part of the Country are you from?

I am a Jersey girl through and through... I live 3 miles from New York City . I have a great view of the New York skyline from my apartment. If you watched the Sopranoes TV show.. some of the car chase scenes happened right in front of my apartment.. and if you looked fast you would see exactly where I live..lol. That was exciting, but they did all that filming at 12 midnight to 6 am in the morning.. and filming for TV is very noisy and a big production. It was fun to watch.. even if I didn't get any sleep :-(
The Empire State building, Statue of Liberty and, sadly the former World Trade Center site is all visible right from my window. NYC's famous Broadway is just 3 stops on the subway and I enjoy going in to see Broadway shows several times a year... In addition, I'm about 2 hours from Atlantic City (which is sometimes way too close) I also have a motor home down the shore, 15 minutes outside of AC, in a permanent campground site... Jersey girls LOVE the beach too! :-)

Do you have a favorite game in the Casino? What is it (or they)?

I really love poker. Omaha is my fav, followed closely by Texas Holdem and Seven Card Stud. I love the slots also and really enjoy the challenge of the challenges, trials and quests.. I think they are really fun!

What has been the craziest scenario you have seen in the Casino (that you can tell us about)?

Not long after being off orientation and allowed to work alone, we had the Fall back time change to EST from DST... I had played all night and did the update shortly after 12 am and let it run while I slept some..well about 6 am I woke up and signed into play...and realized no one was is in the Admin box and I signed in as PB to wait for someone to come on... Well, Lo and behold everyone else Linda, PB's and players.. were having to download hours worth of stuff that I had done hours earlier. I ended up being the PB for close to 10 1/2 hours all by myself while everyone else was trying to get in... It was an interesting day spent in front of the computer, to say the least. I said to Linda it must be the new PB "trial by fire" initiation. If you make it through that, you are hooked forever lol! :-)

Favorite song and band?

I am a Country Western Fan and love Alabama as well as all the current and past singers...
In addition, I do enjoy Broadway soundtracks as well. My IPOD is my favorite toy besides the computer.

How often have you forgotten or mixed up the /g or /r ? Fess up!

Oh, boy do I ever mess up! I'm going to give Linda a heart attack yet from my boo boo's...lol I even send /g or /r messages into the lobby by mistake... Bad Diane :-(

Phantom has obviously become a part of your life, would you say that you agree that the "People Factor" is half the attraction of the Casino Experience?

Absolutely! The players are fun to talk with and my coworkers and Linda make it a joy to play and work... I am hooked for life! Spinning an offline slot is ok, but gets boring.. I much prefer the tourneys and interactive play with the online experience.

Personally I think that all the PB's have the patience of a Saint, what would you say is your strongest virtue?
 
Definitely patience, You learn how to be patient when dealing with parents who are stressed with an acutely ill tiny preemie or seriously ill full term newborn on life support. That also teaches you faith and hope also...

How did you get into online gaming? How did you find out about Phantom?

I started buying Phantom casino games right from the beginning. I actually own all their Casino games starting with Reel Deal slots....Don't know what took me so long to join the online community. I guess I didn't understand what that meant.. or how fun it would be. I missed an entire year of fun :-(

Have you ever played any online games in the past and if so , what were they?

Played pogo for awhile, but found the graphics under par and didn't care for the lack of support given to new players
Also tried several of the live poker sites but found the chat a bit too rowdy and much preferred the family oriented environment of the Phantom online games and the 24/7 online game support.

What does your family think about Phantom, do they play as well?   How do they feel about you being a PitBoss?

Have given Phantom games as gifts and although friends play offline no one has taken the plunge to play online.. I keep trying though :-)...
Everyone who knows what I do online, thinks its cool... and it is!

What's your favorite Ice Cream Flavor?

My current fav is Moose Tracks which is vanilla ice cream swirled with thick fudge and mini Reese's peanut butter cups...yummo!

If you could win a brand new vehicle, what would it be?

Oh, hands down... a 36 foot Motor home to travel around in with a little car to tow behind... Well, I can dream big, anyhow :-)

If you could win an all expense paid vacation- where would you choose to go?

I adore Disney World. It's my most favorite place on earth. And it would be my first choice.
Second choice would be the Vegas Fanfare event in November. I would love to see Vegas...

What is or was your favorite cartoon?

Johnny Quest and Scooby Doo
